The leftist documentarian Michael Moore has made his fellow liberals angry at him for suggesting that the GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump won the first presidential debate against opponent Hillary Clinton, the presidential nominee from the Democrats, and that Trump could even go on to win the election if the Democratic party failed to campaign properly for their candidate.

Moore has more than just bothered the liberals with his statements; he also said that the average American no longer trusts the leftist party the way it used to, as reported by the The Daily Caller.

“I don’t think people do trust the Democrats anymore,” Moore said.

“How else does a socialist win 22 states?”

Speaking to NBC host Chuck Todd in “Meet the Press”, Moore said that the party had abandoned its foundational principle, and the common man realizes that, and may just vote for the Republican party out of frustration with the Democratic party dealings.

“I mean, in my state of Michigan, Bernie Sanders won,” he continued. “If Hillary Clinton and the Democrats had a tough time with him, that should have been the red flag to everybody that there is a mood out there where people are upset at the Democrats and the Republicans.”

Moore was an ardent supporter of Sanders during the primary, but he hasn’t extended the same enthusiastic support over to Hillary Clinton, and has voiced his opinion on the incompetency and flaws in Hillary’s management skills. He believes Trump could win the presidential election over her, come November 8.

“Across the Midwest, across the Rust Belt, I understand why a lot of people are angry,” said Moore during the interview. “And they see Donald Trump as their human Molotov cocktail that they get to go into the voting booth on Nov 8. and throw him into our political system that has made their lives miserable.”

According to him, Trump is the sort of person who can topple the establishment and,

“They [people] love the idea of blowing up the system,”

Moore was also concerned about the mainstream media not fulfilling its responsibility to convey complete and unbiased news to the viewers.

“People don’t trust the media, they don’t listen to it, and for good reason — because the media has let them down,” Moore said. “The rich and powerful have let them down. A lot of them used to vote for the rich and powerful and they aren’t going to do that anymore.”

Although Moore is not a Trump supporter at any cost, he is, at least honest to call out the display of failure by the Democrats.
