Behind the Poll:

The Supreme Court recently voted 6-3 to reject a challenge brought against New York’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers, which does not allow religious exemptions. The challenge requested that exemptions be permitted while litigation continued. Justices Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch dissented from the majority, which included Trump-appointed judges Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett. Gorsuch wrote that:

“We do all this even though the State’s executive decree clearly interferes with the free exercise of religion—and does so seemingly based on nothing more than fear and anger at those who harbor unpopular religious beliefs.”

Do you think the Supreme Court made the right decision, or should Americans subject to vaccine mandates be allowed to claim religious exemptions?
