Behind the Poll:
According to a new Gallup poll, trust in the media has fallen to 36%, its second-lowest level in Gallup polling history. This is a decrease of 4% since the poll was conducted last year.
The lowest trust levels were recorded in 2016 when only 32% of those polled by Gallup expressed trust in the media. This suggests that trust in the media is in steep decline across America.
