According to Newsmax, Biden is pushing a new tax that would cost 8 cents for every mile driven. In other words, it would cost $8 for every 100 miles you drive. If you drive an average of 15,000 miles a year, you would pay an extra $1,200 in taxes (on top of gas taxes, car registration fees, etc).
Some say the fee would vary depending on the type of vehicle you drive. So a small electric vehicle might not be charged as much as a Chevy Suburban or Ford F-150.
Of course, to tax Americans for every mile driven, GPS trackers would have to be added to every single car so that the government could track every mile you drive. This would be a massive invasion of privacy, but one that Democrats seem to be okay with.
