Behind the Poll:
On January 6th, Mike Pence certified the 2020 election results rather than send them back to the states for further investigation. Many conservatives view Pence’s actions as a way of keeping the peace and perserving his chances of running for President in 2024.
Pence has not been in the news very much lately, but a recent video of an Iowa student confronting Pence has gone viral, bringing Pence’s Jan. 6th actions back to the forefront.
The student asked, “What is the name of the person who told you to buck President Trump’s plan and certify the votes?” Pence responded, “James Madison.”
