Behind the Poll:
It’s been revealed that the federal government has been awarding millions of dollars to a CRT program that trains future teachers. In response, GOP Senator Ted Cruz said:
“Critical Race Theory is inherently bigoted and it is a lie. The federal government should not be funding the training for a Marxist ideology that teaches people to hate America.”
Cruz also introduced legislation to block federal funding for CRT, which comes among several Republican efforts to stop the spread of CRT. Should our taxes be spent teaching our children to hate their country?
