Behind the Poll:
It’s emerged that the Democrats’ massive spending bill includes a “tax credit” for journalists that will cover half of their salaries up to a yearly cap of $50,000. In effect, that means taxpayers will fund half the salaries of many journalists across America.
Conservatives have raised many concerns about this, including what would happen to the media if it was state-funded, which media outlets would get the funding, and how political campaigns would be covered for candidates who oppose the funding.
