This could be great news.

The coronavirus outbreak is hurting the world’s economy and people, and the death toll has been climbing. However, it has been revealed that an anti-malaria drug called chloroquine could be effective for treating the virus. There have been three studies claiming that chloroquine phosphate was effective in treating COVID-19.

There have been small clinical trials proving that the use of the drug in curing COVID-19 were promising. A summary reported:

100% of patients that received a combination of HCQ and Azithromycin tested negative and were virologically cured within 6 days of treatment.

In addition, recent guidelines from South Korea and China report that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are effective antiviral therapeutic treatments for novel coronavirus.
