According to recently released data, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention overestimated the prevalence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
The data shows that Omicron was 3x less prevalent than the previous week, showing that the CDC data was faulty at best and malicious at worst. Despite this, scientists are still reporting that Omicron is far more contagious than Delta.
