Polling suggests that the Republican candidate in the Virginia gubernatorial race, Glenn Youngkin, has pulled significantly ahead of his Democrat rival, Terry McAuliffe.
The latest poll from Fox News shows Youngkin at 53% among likely voters, compared to just 45% for McAuliffe. The shift is thought to be because McAuliffe has dismissed the concerns of parents regarding school curriculums.
