She’s gone COMPLETELY rogue…

Ann Coulter has taken her anti-immigration stance to a whole new level. Now, the former Trump enthusiast says that she would be willing to vote for socialist Bernie Sanders if he were to take a hardline stance on immigration.

According to Fox News, Coulter delivered her comments about the famed democratic socialist in a preview clip from PBS’s “Firing Line with Margaret Hoover.” When asked if she would support Bernie Sanders if he campaigned on “getting rid of low-skilled workers” to try to secure higher wages for others, Coulter said she would.

“If he went back to his original position, which is the pro-blue-collar position. I mean, it totally makes sense with him,” she said. “If he went back to that position, I’d vote for him. I might work for him. I don’t care about the rest of the socialist stuff. Just — can we do something for ordinary Americans?”

Fox News noted that Coulter was referencing Sanders opposing an immigration reform bill in 2007 that he claimed would drive down wages for workers. Most recently, Sanders hinted he was opposed to open borders.

“What we need is comprehensive immigration reform,” Sanders said earlier this month. “If you open the borders, my God, there’s a lot of poverty in this world, and you’re going to have people from all over the world. And I don’t think that’s something that we can do at this point. Can’t do it. So that is not my position.”

Coulter’s purported willingness to vote for Sanders if he adopted a hardline immigration stance is just one more indicator that she has distanced herself from Trump, allegedly for his not holding up his campaign promise to build the wall. Since 2016, she has single-handedly turned immigration into her signature issue, employing some rather extreme hyperbole at times in promoting it. For instance, during the 2016 presidential primary, she went as far as to say that then-candidate Trump could perform abortions in the White House so long as he kept his promises on immigration.

As President Trump’s tenure continued, Coulter grew increasingly impatient with the man she campaigned feverishly for in 2016, regularly bashing him on Twitter and in her articles for not keeping his campaign promises. Their feud reached a fever pitch earlier this year when President Trump told reporters she was “off the reservation.”

“Ann Coulter, I don’t know her,” Trump said. “I hardly know her. I haven’t spoken to her in way over a year. But the press loves saying ‘Ann Coulter.’ Probably if I did speak to her, she’d be very nice. … I would speak to her, I have nothing against her; in fact, I like her for one reason: When they asked her like right at the beginning, ‘Who’s going to win the election?’ she said, “Donald Trump.’ And the two people that asked her that question smiled; they said, ‘You’re kidding, aren’t you?’ She said, ‘Nope. Donald Trump.’ So I like her.”

“But she’s off the reservation,” he added. “But anybody that knows her understands that.”
