President Trump said Thursday his wife, Melania, and youngest son, Barron, will soon move from New York City to Washington.

Trump said in a lengthy White House press conference that his family would move to Washington “after Barron finishes school.”

“I think she’s going to be a fantastic first lady,” Trump said.

“She’s going to be a tremendous representative of women and of the people, and helping her and working her will be Ivanka,” Trump added, referring to his eldest daughter.

Melania Trump had remained in New York City with Barron while he completed the school year in order to avoid disrupting his education. The first lady and her son were widely expected to join the president at the White House this summer.
