The Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel recently launched a new initiative to attract gay voters, a move that upset some Christian evangelicals who support the GOP.
She later emailed an apology to the 168 members of the RNC, claiming that she could have done a better job communicating the new initiative. The GOP Pride coalition will seek to broaden the party’s support among the LGBT+ community, which has historically voted Democrat by large margins.
Notably, the Texas GOP hit back at McDaniel’s efforts, claiming that “We do not believe building GOP versions of left-wing movements furthers our cause and do not support this move by the Republican National Committee.” Do you back the RNC, or do you think they’re all RINOs?
