House Republicans Make 1 HUGE Mistake – It Was Easily Avoidable
The House of Representatives recently passed the Democrats’ mammoth $1.9 billion Capitol security spending bill 213-212.
But it wasn’t supposed to…
GOP Rep. Ken Calvert voted against the bill, as he’d planned to.
He was also supposed to cast a proxy vote against the bill on behalf of fellow GOP Rep. John Carter.
Apparently, he just plain forgot!
What a shambles.
There are so many examples of how the Republican Party is lost but last week we saw another example. What do these people do all day? Do they plan or strategize for anything or are they completely lost?
Newsmax reported yesterday:
Rep. Ken Calvert, R-Calif., recently failed to cast Rep. John Carter, R-Texas’s, vote on the Democrat-backed $1.9 billion Capitol security spending bill on May 20 because it “slipped his mind,” according to a spokesperson, reported the Epoch Times.
“Rep. Calvert made a mistake and simply forgot to cast Rep. Carter’s vote,” the spokesperson added.
The mishap comes just days after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., extended the vote-by-proxy mandate, reported the Epoch Times. The Gateway Pundit
Yes, what exactly do Republicans do all day…
They couldn’t even plan ahead to avoid a silly mistake like this, so how can they be trusted to protect America from the Democrats?
Answer is, they can’t.
The problem in this situation isn’t only on the Rep. who failed to make the vote for his colleague, but the Republican leadership is also to blame. Where were the Republican leaders? Why did they not have a count before the formal count on the House floor that would have identified this situation and need for this vote? Why were they not aware of the ‘proxy vote’? And if they were aware, why did they ignore the vote?
Republican ‘leaders’ need to wake up. Currently, they do not represent the people who voted for President Trump and gave him a multimillion-vote record number of votes over any Republican Presidential candidate ever. These leaders are lost. The Gateway Pundit
They’ve become divorced from reality and from their own voters.
That and they simply don’t seem to care that much about the country.
These reasons are why a mistake with such far-reaching consequences was able to happen.
Voters mustn’t forget a failure like this.
If Republicans can’t get something this simple right, then we shouldn’t vote for them until they fix it.
